The Dripolator in Black Mountain NC is a regular stop on my way to visit the grandchildren in the Raleigh NC area. I was first introduced to the Dripolator several years ago by my daughter Emily . As you can see from the photographs the store has a rather small footprint and at times finding a seat can be a problem, especially during the holidays or weekends.
I don’t believe they roast on site but the brew of the day is always fresh and tasty. On my many stops I don’t believe I have had a many duplicate brews. As you can see from the frequent buyer card I have made a few stops during my travels in 2016.
Branded coffee cups, T shirts and window stickers are available as well as fresh baked cookies and pastries. I have a soft spot in my heart for lemon poppy seed bread and they frequently have it available.
Black Mountain NC has a very strong artist community. I would speculate that the artist community is an overflow from Asheville NC just a few miles east of Black Mountain. The small mountain town has several restaurants and gift shops all within easy walking distance if you don’t mind a few hills.
If your travels take you through Western NC and you are in the vicinity of Black Mountain stop in and enjoy a fresh brew or your favorite coffee blended drink. You won’t be disappointed.
